Description

Teatime whispered the little crow. We will save time for you madam. Yes, tea is what we will have.
Teatime whispered the withered trees. We will calm the breeze for you madam. Yes we will calm the wind for tea.
Teatime whipered the blurry skys. We will hold back the rain for you madam. Yes we will leave out the sun for tea.
Shhhhhh, whispered the madam . It is time for tea.

Well i had so so much fun on this picture. I jsut really dont know what to say, it was inspired by alot of James Christensen's work, and the flemish painters. Dear lord her dress took me forever. Reason for this picture just started out as wanting to draw that dress.......lol......yeh shallow. Well hope you all enjoy.

Amazig job Kurtis...I love the figure and the dress, the floor, the crow...very detailed, nice coloured theme...wow!!...but i also have to say that you could have worked more in the background and in that kind of textured wall that lucks in details...the dress is absolutely fabulous...great!!!

great job !! the perspective is a bit weird though, with on one side the character and the floor and on the other side the tea cup.. but it isn't really a problem coz it fits with your kind of surreal style. the dress is just wonderful! and you're a very fast painter!!

Very nice work... I really like the lady's dress & the floor & the concept with the crow and clock. On the other side, I don't think that the butterfly-wings-like part of dress is appropriate. It suppresses the lady's dignity somewhow... Second, the crow looks more like a raven to me, but I can't judge since I am not an ornithologist

And third, I think you should give a little more time to the background - I bet the wall and the woods could be much better.

The dress is gorgeous! I think the wall plus the background (only the sky+trees area, the chessboard floor is really nice) is a little weak. If the effect is not intentional, I would guess you spent all the energy on that fab dress

Please don't get me wrong about the 'a little weak wall' thing, after all it is your artwork and this is only my humble opinion.

Oh, just beautiful! The time you took on the clothes was so worthy! It's the best on the whole pic. The face and hair are awesome too, and the mood is well achieved. I just wish you could work more on the leaves and maybe adding nice clouds on the neuter sky

I personally like the "weak" background, it gives more air to the piece that otherwise might become too "crowded". I also like that slightly distorted perspective, it perfectly fits with the special fantasy feel of the piece. And that dress is to die for!

The detail is very impressive,it reminds me of Alice in Wonderland a little.The background does'nt seem real enough,still it's very good.

I like this one! Seems to have a story to it. The flat background looks like a backdrop to me, so I've rationalized that this is an illustration of a stage play--complete with animal actors.

I'm particularly impressed by the costume design--great work!
